“Blending Traditional Thai Architecture with Contemporary Single-Storey Living”

The core concept of ThaShaDa Villa is to reinterpret the essence of traditional Thai architecture into a modern, single-storey residence. The design expresses simplicity, openness, and accessibility, while maintaining a subtle warmth inspired by Thai living culture.

Taking advantage of the site’s orientation, which opens towards mountain views to the north and east, the layout is carefully planned to position key living spaces—such as the terrace and swimming pool—towards these open directions, allowing uninterrupted views and a strong connection to the natural surroundings.

A key architectural feature is the extended roof overhang, inspired by traditional Thai houses. This element creates functional semi-outdoor spaces while effectively providing shade and protection from sun and rain, enhancing thermal comfort throughout the day.

The interior adopts an open-plan layout, seamlessly connecting the living, dining, and kitchen areas to promote spatial continuity and flexibility. Private zones, such as bedrooms, are more enclosed to ensure tranquility and privacy, creating a balanced transition between shared and personal spaces.
